Medi Herb®:
The highest Quality herbs
About MediHerb®
MediHerb® is the largest purchaser and processing plant of herbs in Australia and since our beginning we have actively sought the best quality herbs from around the world. Their long-standing relationships with herb growers include technical assistance on how best to grow herbs.
Herbology; the art or practice of using herbs and herbal preparations to maintain health and to prevent, alleviate, or cure disease.
Since the dawn of creation, plants have been the primary source of medicine for the human race. Medicinal plants have been mentioned in the Bible, and in historical literature. Plants that are used as medicines have been referred to as "herbs" for over 4000 years by European and the Mediterranean cultures, hence the word "herb", being a derivation of "herbe" and the Latin word, "herba".
By working with Medi Herb we have been able to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of issues affecting herb quality. By far these are the highest quality potency herbs in the world.
Golden Seal (
Hydrastis canadensis)
Wherever possible, Medi Herb sources organically grown and wildcrafted herbs. We are very fortunate in Australia to have healthy soils and a wonderful climate for herb growing, so many of the herbs used in MediHerb products are from local growers. MediHerb also sources herbs from overseas where the climatic conditions and specific handling requirements are the optimum, for example Devil's Claw from the Kalahari Desert and Cat's Claw from Peru. It is particularly important for these indigenous communities who depend on the income of the herb crops for their well-being that they understand the quality issues and how best to grow or sustainably harvest the herb. Together we can ensure that they will sell their crops and provide income for their community.
